Meet The Team
Bios
Johnny
Johnny grew up outside of Baton Rouge, LA in a family of racers, developing a love for a sport that he would eventually take on professionally. After graduating from the University of Louisiana-Lafayette with a degree in Petroleum Engineering, he started traveling the big money bracket racing circuit racking up numerous big money wins, most notably the 2017 Million Dollar Drag Race. During this time he took over EZ chassis from his father and created Ezell Race Cars. He has taken his years of experience and knowledge and continually re-designed the cars to improve performance and stay current with trends.
Madison
Madison grew up in a small town in Northeast Arkansas as part of a rice farming family. She has an Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology and a Batchelor's Degree in Radiologic Science. A racer herself, she started racing with her dad at a local track as a teen and then began traveling to bracket races after she graduated high school. She takes her experiences from the track along with her attention to detail to assist in creating projects turned out from Ezell Race Cars. Her primary contributions at ERC are accounting and social media, but she isn't afraid to work in the shop when needed.
Our Family

Johnny and Madison met while both were racing at Memphis International Dragway. Remaining friends for a few years, they eventually decided they would give it a shot as a couple and the rest is history! Within 9 months they married and just celebrated their 7th wedding anniversary. Together, they have built Ezell Race Cars and promote races through their promotions company, Flicker Promotions. They have 2 children, Mia and Remi, and spend the majority of their free time with them at the track or at the girls activities. Traveling for races has slowed down for Johnny and Madison in the last few years, but they enjoy traveling to race with the girls whenever possible.

Mia - 13, has her own 2025 Ezell Race Cars Jr Dragster that she debuted in Nov. 2025 when she moved into the 7.90 class. Mia is also a dedicated volleyball player where she plays on the National White team for Red Storm Volleyball.

Remi - 4, marches to the beat of her own drum and the world is her oyster. If you follow us on social media, you have seen the shenanigans this kid can get into. Remi loves to dance and cheer, cook with Mama, and above all else go to the races with Daddy!
